The Green Bean Program

NRC’s PeopleSoft Practice packages support and training services into the ‘Green Bean’ program. The program prepares people to fill technical and functional support roles within your organization.

Companies are back to investing in their IT portfolio, and many previously stalled PeopleSoft upgrade and optimization projects are moving forward. That’s the good news. Your organization will enjoy increased functionality and avoid costly end-of-life support penalties.

The bad news is that you have to staff those projects and then support the new or upgraded applications without blowing your budget or stretching your employees too far. Good PeopleSoft consultants, with strong technical or business skills, are in demand and command big salaries. Even if you have the budget for a top-notch veteran, they are in short supply. And if you can find someone and successfully bring them in for your project, once the project is complete, they are off to the next big project. You still need to find a way to maintain your application.

The Green Bean Program from New Resources Consulting

The Green Bean program identifies, trains and grooms talented graduates to fill technical and functional support roles for PeopleSoft. Our Green Bean graduates have real-world practical experience working on implementations and upgrades — in fact, on your project — combined with classroom training from our staff of top-notch PeopleSoft consultants.

Benefits of the Green Bean Program

  • Opportunity to hire qualified, up-to-speed and integrated candidates for difficult-to-fill positions
  • Typical project savings of 10 – 20% over the course of a 6 - 9 month project (versus using only veteran consultants and hiring support staff internally)
  • On-the-job and evening training sessions for candidates that are also open to your employees. Sessions cover technical topics as wells as project and meeting management and other “soft skills”

How the Green Bean Program works

  • NRC’s PeopleSoft Practice Manager meets with you to determine your project needs as well as your long-term internal support requirements, both for technical and functional roles
  • NRC staffs the project with veteran consultants and fresh technical talent, designing the program to complete your project and also provide you with the opportunity to hire qualified people for internal roles once the project is finished
  • During the course of the project NRC provides mentoring, practical experience and classroom training to the candidates
  • The candidates bill for a reduced rate over the course of the project. Their hourly rate is based on their progress in the program and gets adjusted on a monthly basis.
  • Companies have no requirement to hire anyone and can hire a candidate at any time once the project is complete
